Unhealthy American Restaurants Pt. 1

Americans have a reputation for being a bunch of fatties driving around with their new Audi body parts and for good reason. Over two-thirds of the population is considered to be overweight or obese. What is the cause of this widespread phenomenon you ask? Well numerous reasons come to mind, but the most accurate answer can be found in what Americans shovel in their mouths everyday. And with all of the unhealthy restaurants out there, there are endless ways to get fat in America. If you’re a health conscious person then I suggest you avoid the all of the restaurants below.

Denny’s

This restaurant is a classic Sunday morning breakfast choice for many Americans, too bad all of their famous Slam breakfasts offer 800 or more calories. Lunch is even worse at Denny’s; with one of the unhealthiest double cheeseburgers in the country, weighing in at a whopping 116 grams of fat. If you want to lose the fat, or simply avoid it, I would suggest crossing this restaurant off your weekend pit stop list.

Dairy Queen

With ice cream being their specialty, I should think it obvious that Dairy Queen isn’t exactly a healthy dinner choice, but you can really have a field day here with their enormous selection of ice cream and their high sodium, high fat dinner selections. If you were to ingest a Bacon Cheddar Grill Burger with Onion Rings and a Small Snickers Blizzard, you’d be consuming over 1,700 calories, over 80 grams of fat and over 2,500 milligrams of sodium. I’d say skip the ice cream and reach for a Popsicle in your freeze instead.
