You don’t know what your talking about. Cubans should be stored at around 65 degrees. My wine cooler goes up to 66 degrees and I never have to worry about anything with it, no beetles, no mold. Yes its true my cigars may age a little slower but there is not much difference between my 66 degrees and your supposed idea of 68 degrees.
This is the wrong way to store cigars. They should be stored at about 68 to 70 degrees. Ask any tobacconist.

The main issue with the cool temperatures is that it is harder to keep humidity up. It shouldn’t cause too many problems to keep it cool although I personally would not do this due to aging of Tobacco. Most walk-in humidors are not refrigerated. My source? I worked in a premium cigar shop during my college years. Check out Min Ron Nee’s opinion on this.
As for the beetles, some people freeze their cigars for 48 hours before placing them in the humidor. Again, this may damage the aging process.

62 is better than 68 in keeping tobacco beetles at bay. I have the exact same cooler and keep mine at 63°F/65%RH. No beetles = happy cigars.
yea – if you look at some of the “pros” in london – they keep really long term cigars ~55F
in my experience they get a bit crusty when they are kept warm over a longer period of time
Why would you keep cigars, especially Cuban cigars, cold?
Cuba is a warm climate, not a cold one. 68 degrees would be better than 62, no?
I went out and bought an Emerson 8 bottle wine chiller, and threw 2 lbs of beads, and Cigar Oasis, and two distilled wet sponges and I still get a huge variation at 62 deg between 57 rh and 65 rh.My unit has a self evap, and I cannot plug it. I noticed after looking at your video several times even with all your beads in yours. Your RH sits at 58, just after opening the door.I like to keep Habanos specs. 64 deg Far. Or

What is the name brand of the smaller wine cooler that holds your desktop humidor? Do you have beads to catch the water drippings like you do in the Avanti?
